About Marsh Laboratories
Industrial-grade adhesives and solvents, manufactured in Pittsburgh.
Our Story
In 1960, Jack Marsh was national sales manager for a plastic piping manufacturer. His customers wanted to buy his pipe — they just couldn’t get cement to put it together. So he started making it himself, nights and weekends, in his garage in Wilkinsburg, PA.
The cement business outgrew the garage, then a small industrial building, and eventually Jack left his sales job to make plastic pipe cements full time. Through the 1970s the company diversified into acrylic and epoxy adhesives, and in 1982 new partners took over day-to-day operations, expanding the line to rubber-based adhesives, water-based adhesives, and specialty coatings.
Sixty-six years later, Marsh Laboratories still formulates and packages every product at our Waverly Avenue facility — and still makes the adhesives our customers are looking for.
